Welcome to the ALT Professional 3D Printing Blog

Santa Barbara 3D Printing

Welcome to ALT’s Professional 3D Printing Blog!

We are excited to announce our new blog! This is our first blog post! In our blog, you will find a wealth of information about exciting new 3D printing technology and the services we provide! We are an additive manufacturing startup located in Santa Barbara, California, now serving as a 3D Printing Service Bureau.

3D Printing Service

Do you have a project idea or a model you want to see come to life? Feeling creative? If you can imagine it, we can print it! Upload your model on our site https://3dalt.com/3d-printing-service and we will get back to you within 24 hours!

You can also send us an email, call, or come by our offices on the beautiful Riviera and check out our 3D printers in action! We can fabricate parts with 100-600 micron resolution. We have several 3D printers with a build volume of X: 200 mm x Y: 200 mm x Z: 250 mm and several with a build volume of X: 400 mm x Y: 400 mm x Z: 300 mm.

Common 3D Printing Filaments and Materials

We can rapidly fabricate prints with traditional thermoplastic Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) in off-the-shelf filaments such as PLA, PET, TPU, Nylon and Wood Fiber, and we are currently developing tools and materials to make 3D objects more sustainable through bio-derived composites and recycled plastic waste.

We offer a streamlined process, competitive pricing, high quality, and fast turn-around time for all of your 3D printing needs. If you need your part immediately, contact us for a same day quote at https://3dalt.com/3d-printing-service! Send us your file (most standard file types are supported such as STL, OBJ, etc.) and let us know the quantity, material type, color, infill, layer thickness, and units (inches, cm, mm) you need and we will get started on your project right away! We are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. You can pick up your 3D printed objects at our offices in Santa Barbara or have them shipped directly to your door.

3D Printing R&D

In addition to standard single extrusion, thermoplastic 3D printing capabilities, we have a multitude of additive manufacturing tools capable of fabricating complex multi-material multiple-color objects using custom designed advanced materials with a wide range of physical properties. We have machines that can print UV resins, high-strength composites, soft or pliable polymers and conductive metals. We frequently work with industrial designers, makers, architects and researchers on custom projects to develop unique 3D designs, fabricate prototypes and provide solutions to custom projects. We are currently developing tools and materials to make 3D objects more sustainable through bio-derived composites and recycled plastic waste.

In addition to 3D printing, we also provide design consultation, prototyping, modeling and product development services. Our team members are experts in material science, CAD and printing software and have the experience operating a variety of 3D printers to offer design guidelines based on the desired material, size and application. They will carefully review all projects and optimize fabrication parameters to ensure the highest quality manufacturing. For more complex projects, our team will work with you to develop their ideas, providing design and modeling consultation.

About ALT Santa Barbara 3D Printing

TALT is poineering advancements in a new era of manufacturing, developing novel 3D printing hardware and software for their unique approach to manufacturing and advanced material development. At ALT, facilities are in place to engineer unique nano-inks, characterize new materials and composites with superior physical properties, and perform material property tests to determine tensile strength, elastic modulus, and hardness. Both thermosets and thermoplastics can be deposited in highly functional objects and macro/nanocomposite structures for high strength and high conductivity. ALT technology also enables the printing of embedded electronics in 3D objects using conductive, piezoelectric, and polymer-based inks with curing and sintering capabilities. ALT prides itself on top rate customer service and competitive prices. ALT’s mission is to provide their customers with solutions to turn their dreams into reality.
